Add your email DNS records at Network Solutions
Where to find your DNS records at Network Solutions, and how to add the DKIM, Return-Path and DMARC records for your club's email.
Add the DNS records for your club's email at Network Solutions, so OpenCourt can send your email campaigns and booking emails from your own domain. (About 10 minutes.)
Before you begin
- Add your domain in OpenCourt first. Go to Settings → Email settings and add it in the Sending domain card (see Turn on email campaigns for your club). Keep that card open in another browser tab: you copy each Host and Value from it.
- Did you add a subdomain, such as mail.yourclub.com? Delete only your main domain from the end of each host: pm-bounces.mail.yourclub.com becomes pm-bounces.mail.
- Your domain's DNS is at Network Solutions. Your nameservers end in worldnic.com. If they don't, see Find where your domain's DNS is managed.
Open your DNS records
- Sign in to your Network Solutions account.
- Select Domains on the left.
- Select your domain and click Manage. With only one domain, you go straight to its page.
- Go to the DNS tab.
Add the DKIM record
- Click +Add Record. A pop-up opens.
- Choose TXT as the record type.
- In Refers to, choose Other Host.
- In Host Name, paste the DKIM Host from OpenCourt, then delete your domain from the end. For example, 20261028123456pm._domainkey.yourclub.com becomes 20261028123456pm._domainkey. The number in your host is different.
- In the TXT value field, paste the DKIM Value. You don't need quotation marks around it.
- Leave the TTL as it is, and click Add.
Add the Return-Path record
- Click +Add Record.
- Choose CNAME as the record type.
- In Refers to, choose Other Host.
- In Host Name, paste the Return-Path Host, then delete your domain from the end. For example, pm-bounces.yourclub.com becomes pm-bounces.
- In Alias to, paste the Return-Path Value.
- Click Add.
Add the DMARC record (if OpenCourt recommends it)
Do this only if the DMARC row in OpenCourt says Recommended. If it says Published, skip it.
- Click +Add Record, and choose TXT.
- In Refers to, choose Other Host. In Host Name, paste the DMARC Host, then delete your domain from the end. For yourclub.com, this leaves _dmarc.
- In the TXT value field, paste the DMARC Value from OpenCourt, and click Add.
Verify in OpenCourt
Go back to the Sending domain card and click Check verification. When both records show Found, the card turns green: Domain verified. DNS changes can take a few hours to show, so wait and check again if needed. Then continue with step 3 of Turn on email campaigns.
If something goes wrong
- A record shows Not found after a few hours — check its Host Name. If it still ends in your domain, delete your domain from the end.
- Your account shows an older layout — on the domain page, click Revert to old domain list view on the right. Scroll to Advanced Tools, click Manage next to Advanced DNS Records, and use +Add Record. The fields are the same.
- You need help inside Network Solutions — contact Network Solutions' support. For anything in OpenCourt, email support@getopencourt.com.
