Add your email DNS records at Wix
Where to find your DNS records at Wix, and how to add the DKIM, Return-Path and DMARC records for your club's email.
Add the DNS records for your club's email at Wix, so OpenCourt can send your email campaigns and booking emails from your own domain. (About 10 minutes.)
Before you begin
- Add your domain in OpenCourt first. Go to Settings → Email settings and add it in the Sending domain card (see Turn on email campaigns for your club). Keep that card open in another browser tab: you copy each Host and Value from it.
- Did you add a subdomain, such as mail.yourclub.com? Delete only your main domain from the end of each host: pm-bounces.mail.yourclub.com becomes pm-bounces.mail.
- Your domain's DNS is at Wix. Your nameservers end in wixdns.net. If your domain is connected to Wix by pointing, or uses other nameservers, add the records at your domain host instead. See Find where your domain's DNS is managed.
Open your DNS records
- Sign in to Wix and go to Domains in your account.
- Click the Domain Actions icon next to your domain.
- Select Manage DNS Records.
Add the DKIM record
- Scroll to the TXT (Text) section and click + Add Record.
- In Host Name, paste the DKIM Host from OpenCourt, then delete your domain from the end. For example, 20261028123456pm._domainkey.yourclub.com becomes 20261028123456pm._domainkey. The number in your host is different.
- In Value, paste the DKIM Value.
- Click Save.
Add the Return-Path record
- Scroll to the CNAME (Aliases) section and click + Add Record. Click Got it in the pop-up.
- In Host Name, paste the Return-Path Host, then delete your domain from the end. For example, pm-bounces.yourclub.com becomes pm-bounces.
- In Value, paste the Return-Path Value.
- Click Save, then Save Changes in the pop-up.
Add the DMARC record (if OpenCourt recommends it)
Do this only if the DMARC row in OpenCourt says Recommended. If it says Published, skip it.
- In the TXT (Text) section, click + Add Record.
- In Host Name, paste the DMARC Host, then delete your domain from the end. For yourclub.com, this leaves _dmarc.
- In Value, paste the DMARC Value from OpenCourt.
- Click Save.
Verify in OpenCourt
Go back to the Sending domain card and click Check verification. When both records show Found, the card turns green: Domain verified. DNS changes can take a few hours to show, so wait and check again if needed. Then continue with step 3 of Turn on email campaigns.
If something goes wrong
- A record shows Not found after a few hours — check its Host Name at Wix. If it still ends in your domain, delete your domain from the end.
- Wix has no Manage DNS Records option, or says to manage DNS elsewhere — your domain is connected by pointing or uses other nameservers. Add the records at your domain host. See Find where your domain's DNS is managed.
- You need help inside Wix — contact Wix's support. For anything in OpenCourt, email support@getopencourt.com.
